Gossip Girl is an American teenage drama TV series based on the actual book selection of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and premiered on The CW on September 19, 2007. Feb . 24, 2009 The CW renewed the television show for a third season. Narrated by the omniscient yet unseen blogger "Gossip Girl", voiced by Kristin Bell, the actual series involves the lives of fortunate teens going to an elite private college in Nyc Upper East Side. The series began with the mysterious arrival of bad girl turned good Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), who seem to tries to start a new page in her life with her family and friends, starting a new romance together with Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), an outsider who seem to becomes a part of the turbulent Manhattan scene. Gossip Girl also features Serena's closest friend and ally Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), a beautiful Queen Bee of Manhattan's social scene. As of the third season, students who graduated from high school get around their way through the real world or university.
